This painting was inspired by a big beautiful white horse. At Horse shows, the horses you always notice are these brilliant white creatures and tend to envy the riders who own them. The lush colors and contrasting blue in the background make this piece unique and exciting.

This piece was inspired by the original Cornered, finished in 2006. It recreates the scene and the colors that were so interesting to me. The color and activity is extremely vibrant and exciting.

Trail Ride, 11" X 14" Oil on Canvas, Completed in 2007.
This winter scene was an image I captured while recreationally trail riding through a heavy snow in Northern New Hampshire. The view of the mountains and river in the background was absolutely outstanding.

This piece was an exciting experiment with a different color palette. The playful horses in the foreground moving away from the storm clouds building in the background over the mountains.

This painting was an experiment with a darker palette and playing with a contrasting white horse. At night when the horses are turned outside you can never see the darker colored horses but you can always spot the iridescent white horses glowing in the moonlight.

This painting is more a landscape with horses as the secondary subject. The colors are vibrant and illuminate the shore while the faded mountains in the distance give depth to the piece.
Jumper On Course, 11" X 14" Oil on Canvas, Completed Mar. 2010.
This painting was a fun interpretation of a rider on course coming around a turn. I love the movement through this piece and the action and power of the horse.
